Tellers of "Truth"

This is a message to the mainstream media

It is about time you realize who it is you’re really working for; we the people. We are the ones for which the labors of your days go simply to inform.

For far too long you have served the system accepting the benefits of not biting the hand that feeds. Your corruption has caused you to deceive the public resulting in us to be educated with or without your help.

What you fail to realize is that you are part of the people. You are helping to create a system that is enslaving you, your children, your family, and everyone you know. You are serving a machine that has made you as replaceable as a light bulb; manipulated by the fear of the reality that someone need only flick a switch to shut you off, shut you up and send you tumbling down the memory hole.

Well if you journalists were indeed light bulbs and such a switch did exist, said switch could never be in the hands of your employer, or anyone else perceived to be above you, simply because they are all replaceable too. The only constant is we the people and we are the ones that you are being used to fool, mislead, and deceive. This is just like the closing scene of the movie “Fight Club” when the main character, played by Edward Norton, comes to realize that his enemy is actually himself. He realizes that he is the one holding the gun, that he is the one with the power.

Mainstream media, in fact, all journalists for that matter, metaphorically, the gun is in your hands and it always has been. You know exactly how to use the gun but you forgot which way to point it because you forgot who ultimately gave it to you, we the people.

You need do nothing more than stand tall and declare your truth, for it is the only truth that you can ever know. George Orwell once wrote that “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” This revolution will not require the use of war, fighting or guns; only a collection of small revolutionary acts from we the people, which in your case is simply telling the truth.

We are all in the same boat so we all have to play our part. The revolution will ultimately happen with or without your help. For your conscience sake you might want to be on the right side, the winning side, the people's side and your own side of history.
